This painting took my breath away the first time I saw it and the feeling continues each time I glance at it in passing or when I stop to really look at it. It brings to me a true sense of “peacefulness” and I can almost feel a chill in the air as if I am standing next to her. The three dimensional touches enhance the realness of the captured moment and I’m especially drawn to the artistic brush strokes that represent the fur collar.
